Derry Digs LLC provides archaeology, anthropology, and heritage education services for classrooms, community organizations, cultural projects, and public audiences.

Led by Derry Webb, M.A., RPA, Derry Digs brings together college-level teaching experience, field archaeology, artifact documentation, public archaeology, and online course development. The goal is simple: help people understand the human past through clear instruction, careful documentation, and engaging interpretation.

Derry Webb brings together anthropology and archaeology instruction, Registered Professional Archaeologist credibility, public archaeology and heritage education, field archaeology and artifact documentation, curriculum and online course development, and structured research and interpretation skills — all in service of making the human past accessible, meaningful, and well-documented.

Services

Anthropology & Archaeology Instruction

College-level instruction and academic support in anthropology and archaeology, including Physical Anthropology, Introduction to Archaeology, and Cultural Anthropology. Available for selected adjunct, online, asynchronous, hybrid, and in-person teaching opportunities.

Public Archaeology & Heritage Education

Talks, workshops, public programs, and educational materials that make archaeology accessible to students, volunteers, local history groups, and community audiences.

Curriculum & Course Development

Support for online and hybrid course materials, including LMS-based course organization, rubrics, assessments, discussion activities, and learner-centered instructional design. Experience includes Canvas and D2L Brightspace.

Site & Artifact Documentation Support

Project support for organizing archaeological records, field forms, artifact documentation, site notes, and research materials into clearer, more usable formats.

Research & Interpretation

Historical, archival, and archaeology-related research support for educational programs, local history projects, exhibit materials, reports, and public-facing interpretation.

About Derry

Derry Robson Webb is an anthropology educator and Registered Professional Archaeologist based in Houston, Texas. She has more than a decade of experience teaching anthropology and archaeology in Texas community college systems, with experience in online, hybrid, and face-to-face instruction.

She serves as Co-Principal Investigator for the Mirabeau B. Lamar Homestead project in Fort Bend County, Texas, where her work includes archaeological excavation, research, artifact analysis, volunteer coordination, documentation, and public archaeology education.

Derry's background also includes archaeological field schools, laboratory supervision, artifact documentation, archival research, and prior professional experience in information systems, reporting, databases, and process documentation.
